A visit to Shri Sateri Devi temple and Shri Ramnath Devastha Hankon, Karwar

Many years ago, I heard about this temple which is Shri Sateri Devi situated in Hankon, karwar. The temple is open only for a 7 days during Bhadrapada month. The common belief of the people is that the Devi has mystic power she blesses childless with a child more than 15000 people visit the temple during the zatra. I was very excited and fascinated to visit the temple then my mother told me that we are visiting the temple on the second last day of the zatra.

The most special thing was that i have never ever visited the Karnataka state, i was very amazed to see the different temples and different types of old houses of Karnataka. We reached to the after one and half hour of journey by car. It was blissful moment to take the blessings of Sateri Devi.Me and my family took the blessings of the Devi and had delicious Bhojan (food). Nobody was allowed to take picture of the Devi and that is why i don't have enough picture.

After that we visited another temple Shri Ramnath Devastha. Shri Ramnath temple is a temple of lord Shiva. The temple is constructed besides a hill and theertha that's perennial.

This is a calm and serene place. This temple was worth visiting. We took blessings of lord Ramnath and we headed back to our home. It was a divine experience one can feel the spiritual essence flow of energy in this temple. I have enjoyed a lot with my family and wish to visit this temple again.
